Piri Piri fried fish
Need something to whip up after work, which is delicious, spicy and quick as ordering takeaway? This fabulously fast recipe of fried flathead coated in flour and Piri Piri is so easy that’s basically it. That’s the recipe. No need to read the recipe if you’re a bit of a chef. But let me repeat it in detail so the ones who need a little direstion in life (bless) can read it again (which takes longer than cooking it!)
·Get a couple of flathead fillets per person
·In a bowl mix some flour and a couple of teaspoons of Piri Piri. It’s a jar of spice you can buy in any supermarket.
·Coat the Flathead with the flour and spices and all things nices.
·Heat some naughty butter or oil in a frypan. Now don’t have a conniption! Pan Frying is not so fattening if you don’t use much oil. And because it makes the fish so delicious it makes you eat more fish, which can only be good for you. Cook till the fish is cooked. About 3 minutes just so it is nicely tanned.
·Voila!
Serve with some Limes, and perhaps that fabulous mango salsa (see FIFI #22) a chic salade verte, chilled white wine and some water for the spice (or you’ll guzzle the wine)
