Pomegranate and blood orange punch….adulterated from Donna Hay
What a lovely and quite delcious Chritmas drink. The blood oranges and the red Pomegranate seeds combine to look oh so YSL in a chic mix of red and pink. The Vodka and lemonade add the punch. I die.
You need for 6 drinks; that’s 3 each for you and Mr. Clooney.
1 pomegranate, seeds removed
¼ cup (60ml) pomegranate molasses
⅔ cup (160ml) vodka
2½ cups (625ml) lemonade
2 cups (500ml) blood orange juice
crushed ice, to serve
- Slip into your new Lanvin navy dress.
- Climb into your new Louboutin heels.
- Dab on Chanel 19.
- Throw on diamonds.
- Kiss George Clooney and ask him to:
- Throw the pomegranate seeds, pomegranate molasses, vodka, lemonade and blood orange juice in a Georg jensen jug
Stir to combine. - Toss in crushed ice.
- TIP: Donna says “To loosen the seeds, roll the pomegranate on a bench, cut in half and scrape the seeds into a bowl.
- Drink.
- Eat.
- talk.
- Party.
- Divine !
**BTW: You can find pomegranate molasses at specialty food stores and Middle Eastern grocers.
