Molten chocolate chunk brownie …made straight from the packet from DonnaHay

“You can now make these seriously addictive, decadent chocolate treats at home with this simple kit. These perfect brownies have a thin, crisp top and fudgy, dense cake studded with molten chocolate chunks.”

I was lucky to be sent this divine little packet brownie Mix from Donna Hay. I am always happy to try anything that’s sent to me but of courses I will only write about it if it’s fabulous. Can I say these brownies are outrageously delicious?!. OMG… it has big chunks of chocolate through it .

By the way I would never usually make a packet cake because it’s never really any quicker or nicer: you still have to get out the milk , eggs and butter anyway to make it. But this doesn’t taste packety at all. In fact I have made quite a few brownies over the years but this recipe is absolutely divine!

You need for 16 dieting dudes or 5 teenage boys or 38 models:

I packet of  molten chocolate chunk brownie
150g unsalted butter: melted
2 eggs

  • Slip into your new Prada furry PJ’s.
  • Pull on Hermes cashmere socks.
  • Open bottle of wine.
  • Think abut AA and WW tomorrow.
  • Preheat oven to 160.
  • Moisterise a 20cm baking tray with lashing of butter and/or baking paper.
  • Melt the butter: do not even think about a bikini at this very moment.
  • Toss the brownie mix , the melted butter ( cooled a little) and the eggs in a big bowl.
  • Mix it all up with a wooden spoon.
  • Lick the bowl to check it tastes amazing.
  • Stir through the packet of choc chunks.
  • Please do not eat all of the choc chunks.
  • Dollop the mix into the baking tray.
  • Lick the bowl.
  • Lick the wooden spoon.
  • Lick your fingers.
  • They say bake for 40 mins until the brownies are set but I found they needed about another 10 minutes.
  • Then I cut them up and put them back in the oven for about another 5minutes.
  • They were outrageously crunchy on the outside but gooey on the inside. Just like George Clooney.
  • Serve warm with coffee.
  • Or let them cool (and then eat slowly savoring one by one every night for a week.)
  • I die.
