Worried that your favourite smoky eye look might have had its day? You can now blink a sigh of relief. The Chanel Spring 2011 show ( which had adoring rave reviews last week in Paris) showed the most gorgeous makeup as well as the divine clothes.
Peter Philips, Chanel’s global creative director of makeup chats to Style.com at the show backstage about how to get this look right. He says the top 3 makeup essentials in any woman’s handbag should be foundation, mascara and lipgloss. Aint that the truth?! He also says you don’t need to wear the whole look straight from the runway but just make it your own. The biggest mistake is too much or too little makeup. Oh, but we know that don’t’ we? It’s just tricky striking the right balance. Most importantly he says this is a look that’s “fresh and kissable.” Even the new nail polish…yes, please! It’s all gorgeous isn’t it? I die!
