Girls it’s time we talked about lingerie.
When I take clients shopping I am always amazed at the state of women’s bras. Please! The quickest way to look slimmer is to get a bra to lift it all up and out! Your waist will be revealed. You do have one remember? But whether you have big boobs or not we all love and adore a beautiful bra. It just feels great wearing something pretty and feminine don’t you think?
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky to have a bra fitting with Chantelle Paris, the world’s oldest luxury lingerie brand , in their shop-in-shops in David Jones.
Here’s a few thing that I learnt:
- 80% of the support comes from the fit around the back (not the underwire).
- The back of the bra should ride up but fit straight across.
- The straps should not be too tight. Duh
- If you can raise your arms over your head (Imagine reaching up for a Prada bag and you get the idea) then it’s a good fit if it doesn’t move.
- You should adjust (pour ) your boobs in so they fit into the bra cup.
- Make sure the under wire fits right around the boob.
- It’s so important to get your bra fitted properly.
- My favorite is the black lace bra called Declaration ( it’s a black 3 part bra for $159)
- George Clooney declared he loves it .

I absolutely LOVE Chantelle. It is the ONLY brand that fits me well as I am really small around the back. We recently were in Europe so bought 3 pairs as I often find them difficult to find here. Glad to know David Jones have them.
