The biggest look all over the runways for summer 2011? White! White and more white!
From Calvin Klein to Celine and Jil Sander and Michael Kors it was in all the major shows. It’s a huge part of the new minimalist trend and it was the (non?) colour that kept reappearing on every runway.
The good news is that we can now get into this trend toute suite. Yes, we discussed white on The FiFi Report a couple of weeks ago when we drooled over the white flares at the Dries Van Noten show or when I insisted you go out and buy a white blazer. Now you can also invest in a white dress, chic architectural white tops and lovely pristine white shirts.
The bad news is that anyone who loves eating, cooking, playing with children and puppies or who is hopeless at applying their makeup should stick to bright colours or black. Or anything from the divine Lanvin show . Bless.
