Lingerie dressing was a huge trend on The Spring 2010 runways. But I am not so keen on the underwear as outwear trend in real life: it’s just too overt. Then I saw these lovely shots which Garance Dore shot for March US Vogue and I loved the way she has incorporated the pretty little pieces of lingerie into the wardrobe. A little pretty lace skirt peeking from under an oversized sweater. A soft feminine lace cami tossed under a white shirt and chinos. I love the way Stella McCartney styled the lingerie under her blazers with high waist pants for the spring 2010 show. It’s about the soft and the hard, tailoring with relaxed knits and pretty lace.
So right for dressing right now when you want something trans seasonal to take you from summer to Autumn. You can go to any department store and find some chic lace pieces. it’s the way you wear it that’s important: Remember lace +denim + Gold = Tacky . Mais oui.
