What: Chunky Link Necklaces
Which: You want big, chunky link necklaces this summer. We have seen them lurking on the fashion radar for a couple of seasons and now they take centre stage. Go for a chunky necklace that is tough. A necklace that makes a statement. It can be in gold but I prefer silver (and it was all over the runways for next summer 2010). Layer and stack them up. The good news? You can buy them on sale now from stores like Sportsgirl and Portmans.
Why: Because when you have chunky big shoes, chunky big bags and oversized shoulder pads you need jewellery that stands out. Jewellery that can hack the mean pace. Because a necklace will instantly update all your dresses from last season. Because when the going gets tough the tough go shopping for tough stuff.
Wear: With simple shifts and architectural shapes. A chunky necklace also loves a long sleeve print dress. It loves a simple neckline. It loves layering and it loves black and white. It doesn’t love BoHo. NoNo.
