Always happy to nick in here to check out the latest shoes at good prices. NB: Please excuse my iphone pictures but I am getting sick of finding fabulous things and then not finding the photos online. outrageous!
My picks are:
- If you want heels then I do like these colour block heels here: very high but very nice thank you very much. The colour blocking trend is a big look this season and I love it. It’s clean and modern and everything that BoHo isn’t. Keep it simple stupid. These shoes are a mix of camel, red and orange see below ( or you can get black) . Love these heels with cropped narrow red or green pants. Yes. I said green pants. And I am not even drunk. $159.
- If you want the lower kitten heel (and you do) then I suggest trying the cute red, black or white sandals for summer with one strap across the foot. Very Celine inspired. These are very fashion. You see those mad platforms have peaked on the groove Richter scale. Sure they are still hot and I am still wearing them but now we are seeing more and more of the lower kitten heels. You can bet in the fashion shows in September the street blogs will be full of fashion editors rocking pointy toes and kitten heels. Anyway I like the ankle strap and the runaround for hours heels. There is a little bit of a rubber on the sole so they can take the hard concrete as you rush around shopping for hours… $139.
- Love the espadrille wedges : Again, if you want comfort then you’ve got to buy wedges. Make the most of this trend while you can still walk without a zimmer frame. Love the black fabric and the natural rope. Perfect summer casual shoes with skirts or pants. $159.
- By the way high heeled loafers are the big look for next season. But you knew that because it was in The FiFi Report months ago. Anyway I say get into the trend right now with the tan platform loafers ( see above ) and stomp around while it’s still chilly. Love with rolled up skinny jeans or chinos. $169.

Seed is now called officially Seed Heritage and they have a new website; Cool.
My picks this week:
- Everyone ( read all the designers from Celine, Chloe to Bally) have gone mad for the stand up tote. So chic and a great day bag to chuck everything in and still look fashion . I do like the one here in a cream canvas with a leather contrast bottom and straps. $79. Cream is potentially scary when eating chocolate and re applying red lipstick so just spray it with protector so it doesn’t get dirty. Then keep all children at a distance. Especially your own.
- Can I ever get sick of stripe tops? Probably not. If you need another new one ( you do!) then head here for the chic long sleeve, textured linen top with ¾ sleeves. $59. Perfect to take you through spring to summer under a jacket when a sweater is too warm.
- I do love the coffee tan colour leather shift dress. You know I have been crapping on bout leather for years now. Since Phoebe Philo’s first show for Celine way back in 2009. SO now it’s finally turning up everywhere. Can you wear a leather dress in summer? Yes, until it gets way too hot. The one problem is the length of this dress. It’s so short. Let’s talk about talk about skirt lengths for a minute. Firstly : The new longer length - to the knee and over- is the new HOT silhouette ( See Vogue UK’s trend report). Short dresses and skirts are very 2010. Secondly as we get (cough, cough) older we want dresses that are sexy ,groovy, clean and modern but not so short please. Especially for $499.
- So I would say the same for the cute tan leather flip skirt $399: I would be buying that if it was a fraction longer. It would be so chic. Remember leather is a tricky trend to pull off anyway and can sometimes deviate into tacky ( Leather and Lace: oh la la don’t even try it even if it’s Givenchy). Then if add a few years over 35 and it can get scary.

More and more new season pieces coming into store…
My picks:
- As I was just mentioning leather is a real trend this season; I love and adore the Celine style tan leather skirt here (Yes, it’s longer and just right length!) which I included last week and now there is a chic tan brown leather blazer. It’s got a square collarless look so it’s a more casual shape rather than that tough biker look. Yes, it’s would be so chic over a grey Tee and back with jeans. Love it. You can wear with a skirt to the office or back with chinos. It’s the kind of “no need to take it off at dinner ‘ style jacket. Easy. $499
- In the clothes you also should buy the dark denim wide leg jean/pants. $129. Wear them with wedges and the leather tan jacket. I like these pants because there is no visible stitching and they give good butt. True. They sit well and are a very flattering fit. Trust me. I should know I have all sorts of lumps and bumps. Make sure you wear with a crop jacket or tops. Don’t try to hide your bum with pants like this : it just makes you look bigger. Imagine that. They are called “fine denim trouser” if you have double parked with a crying baby. While you are there or online buy the chic flat camel and white sandals ; the Freda sandals $129. Perfect for summer with pants or a flirty skirt.
- Check out fabulous very Lanvin inspired black shoulder bag with a camel strap. It’s in the cool square shape and I like the long strap and the simple turnlock buckle. $299. And when you look at these photos you can wear it all together. Clever.

Lots of new pieces in store and online: She is doing a fabulous job in a tough market .
My picks are :
- Yes, as you know the pointy toe and kitten heel is heading up the groove richter scale and will be the hot shoe very soon. As you know my philosophy is about getting ahead of the game and then trashing the trend until it dies. I die! So check out the cute red or black patent pointy toe kitten heels. Wear with your skinny red/blue/green jeans and a cute blazer. Best with pants I think. It’s all potentially too pretty with a skirt. And for $175 I think they are a fabulous buy.
- As I have mentioned many times the stand up tote it is the hot bag shape ( Yes, as well as a shoulder bag). Orange is the hot colour . And so is snakeskin. Hey presto : You can have all three trends in the orange Esther tote $400. I actually love the lighter tan colour as well.
- And while we are talking about snake skin then you must have the cute grey snakeskin style ballet flats. Just more interesting than the usual garden variety of ballets flats. $175…But hello ? Have you seen all the colours you can buy the ballet flats in ? Check them out here...

- I spy a fab long maxi navy skirt in a silky fabric. This is a handy number for summer but I have a problem with wearing a maxi skirt during the day right now. Too fashion. For the young and teenage I’m afraid. Later this will be great in summer at BBQ’s or by the pool. Or if heading to the beach then this is something I would wear. Never wear with heels. Please. $149.
- I am always on the look out for jackets. Jackets are your friends. You can never have enough. Which is why you should check out the cute cotton navy ( or stone) crop pocket jacket $149. It’s collarless (as you can see below) with cool patch pockets and a crop shape. Best to wear with the new high waist everything. Love with jeans and then just push up the sleeves. By the way you don’t wear it done up ok?! Remember navy and black is fabulous together. Just break it up with tan, cream or white or grey. You know the drill.
- You must have the black silk paneled sleeveless tank top. It’s the perfect little number to wear under all those jackets. Why? Because it doesn’t have a scoop ( more on that later when I get time to blog about it !) and it sits quite high. It has a loose shape so it skims over the bits ( read : French fries) on the hips. It has a cute pocket on the front to stop it from being boring. Darling there is nothing worse than being boring in fashion. Nothing. $129.

Love the new coach collection: it’s getting a bit more fashion here and there are some fabulous bags (Just go past the cutesy, tootsie things that are obviously for the Japanese tourists. )
My picks are:
- The chic de la chic black (or outrageous lime green) square leather shoulder bag with silver chain strap and hardware: It’s the bag shape du jour. And Please don’t think that this is an evening bag. Wrong. This is your new day bag. (Which is why everyone is also carrying the stand up tote as well). Love this $495.
- There is another divine shoulder bag for summer which I think is perfect : it’s in a dark tan brown with a flap and buckles on the shoulder strap. It has brass hardware which is just perfect for every day. It’s about $555. Sorry no photo!
- Love the very Prada inspired (And why not?) black or grey gathered leather tote bag ( think it’s called Sophia). Perfect size, perfect shape for everyday. $995
- You know I can’t walk past a trench without falling in love. So I do rather like the stone cotton trench here at Coach: it’s more a single breasted car coat instead of a classic trench but it’s a fabulous buy and you can wear it summer, winter or spring with everything. I repeat Everything you own. Even with your bikini… $595.
