Witchery
There are a few pieces instore but nothing was tickling my fancy or my Black Amex except for:

• The black crop trench: EVERY one needs one of these: so cute with a flirty skirt , so right with high waist pants and a red stripe tee.  I have been going on for years about this style of jacket so you may already have been a good girl and obeyed The FiFi Report. If not you need to go out and buy this.
• On sale I suggest you invest in the black shoulder bag with a longer strap now on sale for $129. The shape is so right going into next season. (and The FiFi Report can’t have you looking wrong). I also see the very obvious copy of the fabulous Celine bag but I think perhaps it’s too much of a copy. Bless. You got to be careful about these things. I say buy the Alexander Wang style bag which you can’t tell if it’s Witchery or the real thing: Not on sale. $229.
• Also check out the knee length cargo skirt now $29. I like the way it goes in at the knees (just like I don’t) . It’s perfect for wearing right now with suede shooties (now on sale $99 below ) but then watch it walk happily out in summer with wedges and a stripe tee.

French connection
My picks :

• The black crop peacoat in a cotton: On sale now $99. Again this is a pivotal piece in your wardrobe. Just like an almond croissant is a pivotal piece in your diet . The shorter jacket is important with the new silhouette where the waist is coming up higher. Tip: Time to ditch any low rise jeans and any whale tails ( read G string).
• If you are loving this cold weather and love lying around being lazy slut eating apple crumble and cream on the couch watching re runs of SATC then I suggest you buy the choc brown oversized V neck sweater dress. It’s perfect to throw over a white tank and skinny jeans ( or leggings at home). HINT: Sometimes these sweaters look best pulled off to one side and hanging off one shoulder …now on sale $79. Sexy.
• Buy the gorgeous blue cotton dip dye scarf that is just perfect for wearing into summer. The colours are lovely. Scarves are the big accessory again this summer. But you knew that. They are best way to add a little joosh without spending a fortune. $39.

Sportsgirl
It’s always great here for accessories and cute fashion pieces you don’t want to spend a fortune on.
MY picks:

• The feather necklace: It’s a fabulous buy for $29. Wear inside a white shirt; It’s not to go over a sweater. No, please don’t do that. This is something you can wear with a Tee and jeans under a jacket . If you know what I mean. Feathers are cool.
• You’ve got to love a cork wedge: even if you wore it the first time round. Cough, cough, not me of course. So light and comfortable and stomp-a-licious. So casual yet sexy. Wedges are going to be a huge trend for summer so get into it now. Love with a straight denim skirt with buttons down the front; So Stella McCartney. ( see Country Road) and love under wide leg jeans. $129.
• Here ye; Hear ye: Leather is a big trend going into summer again. Yes, it’s all very Celine inspired so I suggest you buy the cute A-line leather skirt. It might be a bit short for someone such as myself so I think I would get a few sizes bigger so that it sits lower and on the hips and doesn’t dig into the muffin area. Yes, it’s an area now not just a top. In fact I think it’s probably best described as a restricted area. Bless…Anyway: Love a leather skirt in summer with a simple grey tee, brown legs and wedges and then toss across a red bag and you are the groove. Oh and to wear now? A chunky grey sweater and opaques and shooties. You are the bomb $129.

Trenery
Still on sale here but I spy a few new pieces coming in:
My picks:

• Stripes, stripes and more stripes. You can never be too rich , too thin or have too many stripes. I will never get sick of stripes. So French, so chic, so fresh. I love the red and white stripe long sleeve tee here. Yes,  the neckline is a bit wide but more boat neck than scoop. It skims over the bits and the fried mars Bars on the hips but still shows off your shape. It’s not too loose so you don’t look like OCTOmom before the birth. Stripes are such a sneaky way of adding colour and print without ever trying. $59. Also in a lovely grey and white.
• You need a soft fine knit to wear under jackets? You do. Jackets are your friends: they give you the shape and structure that you don’t have. Sorry. So invest in a jacket before anything. Then you need a chic knit under that’s no too bulky like this fab colour blocked knit. Round neckline. Tick. Cool colours. Tick. Wear now and into warmer weather. Tick. I give it 3 ticks! $99
• Love the taupe brown standup /foldover tote that is very Lanvin inspired. Very. How clever. You can wear it as a shoulder bag flopped over like a drunk fashionista or carry it as a stand up tote.  A brown tote is so perfect to break up the navy and black. It’s a neutral colour and like Switzerland it will never start a fight with any other colours in your wardrobe. (An old FiFi joke but a goodie.) $229.

Countryroad.com
There are a few great pieces new in store that are just right if you are going away to hot places like St Tropez or if you are just dagging around at home. My picks are:

• The fabulous straight denim skirt with buttons down the front, 70’s style and very inspired by Stella McCartney. Love. Wear now with a poloneck sweater and boots and then into summer with your new cork wedges and a pretty white shirt. A skirt like this is ageless. Perfect with brown flat sandals in summer and yes, with one of your many stripes tees. $129.
• You must have the other HIT of the season: the high waist wide leg jeans. SO  I have been chatting about these style of pants for months. In fact since the first view at the spring collections last October, sorry to bore you if you have heard this before but we love! They have a very flattering cut.  Plus what a way to get length out of those stumpy legs : just wear these with wedges and a blazer and off your go: Charlies Angels anyone? Clean and modern : I love this look : so much chicer than BOHO NO NO. Head scarf optional.
• Also buy the navy and black tube cotton stretch skirt: Yes, more stripes but this is Prada inspired and we love navy and black together. It’s a snug fit but for some reason it doesn’t actually cling too much. Believe me. Love this right now with a leather jacket and booties. And with the loose top as shown here. $79. A great price for a quick hit of the season.

Max and Co
The sale continues and there is another 20% off the sale prices. Is it legal to be so cheap?
My picks:

• The fabulous black leather flirty skirt with a ruched wide waist band: it’s actually great because the waist band is stretchy (like mine) so it will work even after a steak Bearnaise and Fries. A leather skirt, as I mentioned, is a a must buy going into next season: Love this and it’s now $130. Outrageous.
• Also check out the soft grey long sleeve tee which is in a very fine knit :  it could almost be see through but it’s great for wearing under things: now reduced to about $50. Shut up.
• Buy the fabulous coats and the jackets; I love the monkey grey velvet blazer now about $200.

Marcs:
my picks this week are:

• The chic black or choc brown leather military jacket : it’s a trend that is not going away for a while; My point being that you can get your wear out of it and it’s not a one hit wonder. Like Milli Vanilli. It has a very flattering cut and the big test? It works worn undone with jeans or cargoes. Perfect for work as well as it’s no too Biker/tough chic style. Now $399.
• You can’t go past the green khaki military style peacoat : so very Burberry. You want this jacket to break up all the black staring at you with sad eyes every morning. It’s a trophy jacket: meaning it will make a statement. Ditto ( see above) it will be hot next season. Love it with a pencil skirt and monster shooties a la Burberry . The crop jacket is here for a few more seasons. This style was shown in the Burberry show way back in Feb, 2010. Who said fashion moves so quickly? It takes years for the looks from the runway to get to the street. Love this over a lime dress or with your peg legs/cargoes/chinos. Now $250. That’s about $1700 less than the original Burberry. Spend that on a Lanvin bag.
• Love the chic and simple grey boiled wool dress. Boiled wool sounds like some weird medieval ritual but I promise it’s fine. Not on sale but it’s worth trying this dress because it has a cute relaxed shape and seems to skim. It’s has chic little pockets and short sleeves which mean it can go into summer without once complaining. The shape is very 60’s and simple which means you can do flats or heels. $229. That’s nice.
