I have been everywhere this week! My picks are:
Economy class;
- Esprit : check out the black velvet stretchy fitted blazer about $149: This is great because it’s not a boring black corporate blazer but because it’s in velvet so it’s a versatile little number. Throw on over a light grey Tee, pull with stone chinos that rolled up to reveal your stomp-a-licious heels, then toss on your faux fur collar. As you can see from this photo it’s also in cool navy.
- David Lawrence have some fabulous rib knit ponchos: so right for tossing over your long sleeve tee with jeans. This is a muffin top cover up extraordinaire. $99 Love with a leather skirt.
- Trenery have a fabulous denim straight skirt which is cut quite narrow. Also buy the fabulous cotton khaki straight skirt $99. Great with short peacoats / jackets for winter. Wear with the black velvet blazer.
- Gorman : You want the high neck stripe long sleeve tees $89. No scoops please! Wear under every jacket you own.
- Witchery: You got to love the grey flannel drawstring tapered pants: love in a size bigger with heels and a blazer. Don’t look at those and think great for weekends. Wrong. These are for day wear darling. $129. Also check out the fab crop grey wool almost cargoes pants but much chicer! Perfect to update your wardrobe when you don’t want to wear jeans but still want to look casual $149
- Aldo: I spy some very cool wedges that look very Marni or Prada inspired: The wedge is a mix of pale wood and brown and so are the straps. A mix of cream, black, brown, and taupe. They are T bar and peep toe. I would say from next summer’s collection. This is good. Buy wedges now and keep wearing for a year or two $139.
- David Jones: If you are needing a few little short or long sleeve knit Tees to wear under all your fur vests and groovy blazers then I suggest you head to DJ’s to try on their own label knits. There are quite a few colours : More to be worn under jackets. The quality is good and they don’t pill. That is very pleasing non? $89. Also in the David Jones accessories department is a fabulous fringed cape/poncho. It’s the Milana brand, 100% wool and tres chic in grey. $99. Perfect for traveling or for dagging around on the weekend.

Business Class:
- Country Road: Head here to try on the best wide leg flannel pants. This is a very faltering cut: scientific tests have proved it as I have tried it on many clients and whatever size and shape you these pants work. They are narrow-ish on the thigh and then go into a wide leg. This is called a flare: By the way you know that flares are coming back. Why? Because I told you stupid. Love these pants in grey because then you can rock back with black jackets. Grey will stop that head to black look which is a nono dodo. $229. Wear with wedges please.
- Gorman: You must have the long black leather straight skirt; A winner! You know leather is hot and you can get seasons of wear. Love this back with a silk or cotton shirt and a crop peacoat $369. Tres chic because it is quite long: one could say even over the knee. Thank you.
- Majestic Paris: This is a Tee shirt label l have mentioned before; out of David Jones and if you want a perfect little white Tee that is not too scoop or too high then thank the lord it is here. About $100.
- Sunglass Hut: Still haven’ got any cat’s eye sunglasses even though I told you a year ago to buy some? Don’t worry head here to buy the Prada “Swing” cat’s eyes sunglasses $380.
- CK Calvin Klein: There is a fabulous light grey wool peacoat here that is a little longer. It sits just over your bottom. I think. Well just over mine anyway. Love a peacoat: it’s a wardrobe essential. Especially in grey.$300
- Speaking of peacoats: Head to Jigsaw or David Lawrence for the best best shorter versions. So French . So chic $349
- Myer: I love the black DKNY Brogues that are lace-less. You know brogues are here to stay for a few seasons and a chic alternative to ballet flats. Wear with rolled up jeans or a cute dress a la Alexa Chung. $159.
- Jac and Jack: Popped into the store in Paddington and I love everything but especially the chinos and the cashmere scarves: Divine! from about $330.

Fifi, you’ve let the hordes know about those ALDO wedges and now they’re nowhere to be found on the site…woe is me…
Oh but they are available in store! In fact i think that actual site is the UK Aldo website but it seems there is no online store in Australia so I used that; Apologies!
