It’s backstage at another FiFi’s style session !
This is another one of the fashion shows I was presenting on stage last week at Westfield Burwood ! The theme of this show is ‘casual weekend looks’.
As with last week’s FiFi Report you can check out all cute backstage shots of each outfit we snapped doing the fitting on the gorgeous model Angela. Yes, even without hair and makeup Angela looks fabulous!
(But please excuse the bad lighting and some of the fuzzy shots ) .
As in the last week’s workshop you can see that in each show one item is always worn twice: so we start with jeans and a biker jacket and then those jeans are worn again in the next outfit in a different way and so on.
The idea is to build a wardrobe and make those pieces work many ways: who wears one piece just once and just one way? We have to get mileage out of our wardrobe!
My point is that if you had a million dollars and a stylist you can wear a different bright color every day: who cares if you ever see it again?! But if you are on a budget you have to build a wardrobe so it’s important to stick to the colors that go together. Colours that look expensive such as black, grey , brown, camel and cream. You can’t go wrong !
This is cheap but chic heaven…
Hint: prices and where to buy below each shot!
Again do let me know which ones are your favouites!

Love getting the Fifi report every Friday, highlight of the week. Love the skinny jeans from Jay Jays going out to look for those this weekend. My idea for the Fifi tv is to get some ‘blogger makeovers’. People who read and comment on your blog get made over no matter what size or shape. One petite, one fuller figure, one tall, one short. Would help us all identify what would look good on our body size.
Cheers, you are doing a great job!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea Georgia! I’m up for it. Fifi?! Am I the only one who can’t see pics 3 and 4?
Love outfit 2, I would wear it with flats though as I’m a stay at home of 2 babies and live in a little beach town so heels just don’t work in my life anymore. In saying that Fifi I would love a “casual everday wear” special. And some suggestions of flat shoes. Love your newsletter too, and am also heading to jay jays for the red jeans!
Outfit one for sure Fifi. Wanted to go and see you in Burwood, but used to live near there and remember all the boy gangs in their trackies scoping. Ah, no thanks! Love you’re idea too Georgia…Fifi, how would you dress a mother of three with short legs?
I also want those red skinnys, I will go tomorrow and for $39.95, omg, cheap as chips
P.S Love pointy shoes too
thanks again for all the tips
Love outfit 1! As a mum of 2 small boys I would wear flats also. I am with Georgia what 2 do with short legs? Look forward 2 Fridays when I get the report! thanx Fifi
Love outfit 2 and 5,6!!! Considering I’m 5 months pregnant with my 3rd I’m limiting myself to shoes and bags love the stilletos for later and wish I could wear those red jeans!!!! Oh well shopping for me in a few months!!!! Any fashion tips for a big pregnant tummy and growing boobs?????
Hi there Janice! Thx for the comments. Thrilled you love the outfits!
My tips fr growing boobs and a big tummy? Don’t waste money on anything too expensive now: buy stretchy men’s clothes from Cotton on and country Road. Buy a fabulous bag later. Good luck !
Hi Shelley: thx for the lovely comments!
Re short legs: best to go for high waist skirts and pants. oh and heels! Always heels!
For some reason cropped, rolled up pants can give an illusion of longer legs because it makes they eye go up and gives the illusion of being taller.
Thx for the lovely comments Linda! I agree: Cheap but chic of the week has to be those red jeans! So cool with pointy toes heels !
Thx for the feedback Gwen! see above for tips on short legs!
Thanks for the wonderful feedback Mary! The suggestion of a casual every day special is a great idea: I would say many of my personal shopping clients are women who want help with casual clothes and weekend dressing ! It can be tricky but it’s my specialty.
Email me on FiFi@FiFi.com.au for booking an appt for personal shopping!
Thx Georgia for all the fabulous feedback! So nice ! Keeps me shopping !
and yes, those Jay Jays jeans are a winner and as I mentioned red jeans in the item du jour a few weeks back we know they are hot!
Re the makeovers: what a great idea! When FiFi TV gets up and running with sponsors and advertising I am sure that is something that can be done!
Hi Vicky, Thanks for letting me know that there were probs with the photos! Fixed now! (They were all there Friday when I sent it!)
Love the report FiFi. Finding myself with a wardrobe of striped tops. Very excited that I still have a couple of pairs of pointy shoes in my wardrobe from the last time they were in. Agree with all the comments- 2 kids under 3 and mostly can’t do heels any more. Can you do flats with the rolled up pants? Maybe ballet flats? Love the column x
Thanks so much for lovely feedback! In answer to your question ; of course ballet flats look great with rolled up pants! Let’s face it ; running after toddlers is not conducive to heels!
