It’s Shoe time!
Economy class:
Nine West:
It’s time to buy shoes for summer! You need casual heels, party heels, a flat sandal and beach sandal. Oh and a shoe booty and a red pump and a gladiator heels…and then there’s the metallic and…
My picks are:
- The red platform sandals in a faux snakeskin, So right for summer and I am loving a red shoe at the moment. Love the double straps and the high cut look. Hot ! $159
- Love the black, simple T bar strappy sandals with a tiny kitten heel. Wear with cute cropped pants a la Jackie O. They have a silver buckle which adds a little bit of je ne sais pas. Which is French for I don’t know…$139
- Buy the orange patent T bar sandals: I have mentioned these shoes previously but they are a winner: why? Because of the chic kitten heel and the mad bright pop of colour. The straps seem to angle down at the ankle so they are flattering on the cankles. Great with chinos or skirts. $159.
- There are some fabulously chic flat sandals in a beige and black with the tiniest of wedge soles ( almost flat). They have a single metallic bronze strap across the toe and a high cut T bar look around the ankle. Called ‘Wonton’ you can wear out to Yum Cha of course $139.
- Buy the cork wedges with blush straps: Wedges are a coming back big time next year so you can get seasons of wear. Plus they are comfortable. Bananas!
- On sale: you can have the black two strap sandals with a small wedge and an ankle strap; They are called “Punchy”and are very Celine inspired with a silver buckle on the side. Minimal and chic. now $119.

Target:
I checked out the Stella McCartney collection and there is so much left there to buy. Racks of the stuff: I am not sure how successful it’s been. Maybe the prices are too high or it’s too simple. Minimalism is back ( apart the lace and you don’t want that anyway). I think it will go on sale soon.
My picks are:
- The navy or black turned down collar blazer: It’s single breasted and has a very tailored cut. You know the blazer is still hot and one of the key pieces for summer and winter so this is a good buy. $179
- There is also a black or navy double breasted jacket: so eighties and so right. So shut up if you remember wearing one and just pull it on again. Best worn undone with skinny cargoes or short cuffed shorts. It needs to be sexed up. Toss over a pretty floral dress. Please NOT with a pencil skirt. Ewww. Just too Working Girl.
- Love the tailored trousers with a front pleats ( peg legs!) and a cuffed hem. The fabric looks and feels expensive and Stella is known for the cut of her pants so you know you should try these on. My pick of the crop. $99
- Check out the short , alsmost bolero style jacket with a round neckline and puffy-ish ¾ sleeves. $179. It’s in a taffeta style fabric so you should wear this with a grey marle Tee and skinny faded dark grey jeans $99
- Buy the coat dress : it’s called the “tulip coat dress” and it has $3/4 big sleeves with cute zip detailing along the edge of the sleeves. It’s is very fitted to the waist. It has a tie belt and then it flares out into a tulip shape. You know like an upside down tulip. The cut is very particular and again it’s needs to worn with jeans or gladiators or something like a belt to add a little va va voom. Go for black, the cream is very mother of the bride. Bless.$249.
- I like the black sequin/embellished embroidered tank with the grey jeans: handy top! $79.

Trenery:
Head here for great casual, understated pieces for summer. FYI: they go up to size 18 here so that will make some people happy.
My picks are:
- The taupe and black wide stripe maxi dress $149. So chic, so right , so easy to wear. It has a low round neckline ( nearly a scoop but it goes in at the neck so it’s OK). It’s clever use of the stripe: it’s at a flattering angle and the stripe diminish at the bottom of the dress. I do especially love it under the cute crop trench in the taupe as well $179. yes, I have a trench addiction and that includes short, cropped ones.
- You want the black and taupe tribal print maxi dress: it’s sleeveless and has the perfect little V neck neckline. Just add a belt at the empire waist for a little bit of jooshing up . Again you know you must never wear a maxi dresses out shopping. Or with sparkly heels. Wrong! But you knew that. $179
- Buy the cool blue and white shell print top: what a great cut: A bit of a dip at the neckline so it makes your neck longer and cute cap sleeves which makes your shoulders look wider. I’e that can make the hips look smaller. You gotta love that: It’s a miracle top! Remember it’s about wearing print on the top. This will work with skinny cargoes and heels as well as these cute shorts $79
- There is a lovely white top with a caftan style loose loose look which is great for throwing on and walking out the door. Another tick for a flattering neckline. Love the straight green khaki linen cotton pants here too. Everyone needs green khaki pants and that means you. $119
- Check out the stone cropped cargo pants with the obligatory side pockets : you will live in these all summer but also so right in winter with a peacoat and shooties…$99
- Please don’t forget the summer scarves, the sneakers and the cute green Khaki tote…

Sambag:
Always great here for fashion classics with a twist.
My picks are:
- The straw wicker wedges: walkable! Cool and understated. Just what you need when you want to wear heels to get height and leg lengthening but without that Oh my god I am over dressed feel. Love the camel neutral colour in the T bar straps. Simple, chic and will be perfect with skinny pants, wide leg or with a dress. Great price $175. Also in navy, red and tan ! A must buy.
- You want the flat sandals : everyone needs a pair of plain black T bar sandals: I like the high cut of these shoes and the fact that they are plain plain, plain and very plain. $170. You can buy the white version which have 3 square buttons along the T bar: so chic. White is so nice against your brown tanned toes. $175
- There are great bags here: : fab tote bags but they are $400 which is OK but now the Aussie $ is doing so well you can get a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag for less. But I think the clutch bags are great and for $220 you can’t go wrong. Look out for the Sanchia stud with a black plaited wrap around strap. Excellent for summer parties with a simple dress. Remember studs are great on your accessories but not on your clothes. Or anywhere on your body for that matter.
- Buy the ballets flats: I love the orange tiedye for a bit of fun $175. A great way to add colour and print without actually wearing it . Perfect with jeans and chinos and to add some whimsy. Also in blue and pink. But you don’t want pink. Unless you are 8 yrs old.

Wittner shoes:
Shoes glorious shoes! …see them all here
My picks are:
- The fabulous beige peep toe shoe booties. Ok, so they are not so summery so who cares? They are hot for next season. Because they are in a neutral you can just about get away with wearing them in summer. Love with a floral dress or your chinos. $139.
- For a more summery look you want the tan peep toe shootie: try the ‘Voda’ heels with a slingback and buckles; Again, so right for going into next season. Darling; we have to think ahead so we can get wear out of our investments. I like the stacked platform and the heel is not too high. $169
- Buy the dark brown gladiator sandals with a small cone heel. Strappy and groovy and so fabulous and comfortable you can go shopping for hours without taking 6 Nurofen. You want tan shoes the summer. You do. No other colour will be as versatile. The great thing is when you add a brown shoe you are immediately breaking up the look and adding an eclectic touch. And these shoes won’t match your black bags $139.
- Check out the white strappy sandals called “Fiona”…they must be nice. These heels will work for casual BBQ’s and dinners on the terrace without looking too snazzy. They have a wooden stacked platform and heel. $189.
- Love the pony fur, black and brown animal print clogs heels $159 and the T bar flats called fantasy which are so plain with a birkenstock style sole. Comfort city! $89!

Coach:
Always pop in here for fashion shoes and some casual bags. There is a bit of sparkle and sequins and pink but you can ignore that;
My picks are:
- The brown snakeskin style round toe pumps: Snakeskin and animal print continue to be a hot trend into next winter. The brown is so right and works so well from work to weekend. Love with skinny cargoes. $400 I think.
- You want the platform, lace up shoe booties (yes, they have been instore for a while). I like them in grey. They have a peeptoe and lacing at the front with a platform and a stacked heel. $445
- Buy the grey ankle strap heels with white stitching and brass buckle details. Loving grey for summer because it’s lighter than black and will work as a neutral. Don’t we just love a shoe that ‘works’ for you? $345
- In the bags: I love the choc brown, simple messenger bag with gold brass buckles and one strap to wear across the body. This is perfect when you want to be hands free or for traveling. Or re-applying makeup.$510
- I still love the slouchy, shoulder bag with silver buckles and a details on the front. The perfect Day bag with a long strap, plus a short strap and a zip along the top. Which is nice. So many open top bags; it’s nice to have a bag that zips up. Hate to lose the Hermes wallet! $720
- Also check out the chic black cotton canvas logo stand up tote. So groovy. The CC logo is so subtle and not scary. It also has a wide black and white band or strip of canvas going from the top to the bottom right down the middle of the bag which is very Bally inspired. If you know what I mean. This is the perfect tote bag for summer and looks more expensive than $545. It’s trans seasonal. How fabulous is that? Love it in summer but so right for winter.

Not trying to be pedantic or anything but… “je ne sais pas” is French for “I don’t know anything”, whereas “I don’t know…” as in “I don’t know what” in French is “je ne said quoi”. And we all know, Fifi, you know LOTS!!!
PS… oops typo - I meant to type “je ne SAIS quoi” sorry!
Love Love Love the little nine west black kitten heel, I will be there tomorrow so I am praying they have my size…looking forward to hearing from u next Friday
