Who: Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Cauffiel, Saginaw Grant ( who?)
Genre: A True Story it’s a drama with bikes…a date movie
The Plot: Burt Munro, a charming, penniless, cantankerous old coot from New Zealand heads to Utah at the spritely age of 68 to try to break motorcycle records on his Indian bike. Bless.
Acting: Anthony Hopkins is fantastic.
Photography: great shots of the salt flats of Utah.
Salon de Beaute: It’s supposed to be in the 60’s but doesn’t look it
Wardrobe: The black cross dresser in a skirt is hilarious.
Waterproof mascara: About 6 coats are necessary then use tissues.
Botox: Only for smiling at the charm of the movie.
Smooches: Apparently people over 60 have sex….
Blood’n’guts: Burt has guts to follow his dream and draws blood along the way.
Mistake #1: Burt purchased a car in California. Apparently he bought more than one nearly identical car. The license plates randomly change throughout the movie. Outrageous.
Car Chases: racing bikes are enough for any girl
Best review: “Hopkins portrays is a grizzled sunbeam sent to remind us all to follow the road to happiness, wherever it leads. ” LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
Best worst review: “The film is so languid that at times you may find yourself wishing that Hopkins would eat someone’s liver.” LAS VEGAS WEEKLY
Rename it: Rocky …hits the Road
