How fabulous! To coincide with this year’s MET BALL, R.J. Cutler has posted a short film ( out takes from The September Issue) jam packed with behind the scenes preparations for THE MET BALL in 2007. You have got to love seeing Anna Wintour smile and crack a joke or two. There is Hamish Bowles trying on a Poirot inspired robe at Tom Ford ( he says its “a bit too queeny for me,”). A highlight is Sally Singer getting fitted for a Balenciaga dress. She says “It’s one of those evenings where there’s no real inherent value to the meal — it’s a fashion dinner so there’s never an inherent value to the meal; the whole point is to go to the bathroom a lot to keep looking at people as you go in and out of the bathroom, and see who’s in the bathroom.” Thankyou Fashionologie
