Today Google has launched Favorite Places (a Google Maps feature). It’s amazing. It lets you explore the favorite places of local experts from cities around the world. “Find out where they like to go, and why, from their own perspectives.” You can choose just about any major city in the world from London to New York, and Paris. I clicked on Paris (bien sur). You can see where Kirsten Scott Thomas likes to go in the 6th arrondisement or where the Bar man at The Ritz likes to drink. Head to New York and find out Diane Von Furstenburg’s favourite places and where Moby and Cynthia Rowley like to go. Oh, where will it end?
