- Rihanna’s Couture Acid Trip in September’s Italian Vogue, LOVE it (even though she is wearing a mask).
- It’s the Venice Film Festival! George will be there. Two of the movies with the biggest buzz at this year’s edition of the Venice Film Festival — “The Men Who Stare at Goats” and “The Informant!” — are screening out of competition. Two of People magazine’s “Sexiest Men” — George Clooney and Matt Damon — star in these comedy-dramas.
- Also showing at Venice are three short film: “Fitting Room Follies” directed and filmed by Karl Lagerfeld, presenting the Chanel 2009-2010 pre-fall collection; Andrea Rovetta’s “La Scarpa” (”The Shoe“), celebrating Ferragamo’s iconic alligator stilettos, and “Les Noces de Papier” (”The Paper Wedding“), for Louis Vuitton. And Tom Ford will strut down the red carpet on Sept. 11 for his debut as a director with the movie “A Single Man” based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood. WWD

- The New York Time’s Moment caught up with Juergen Teller to talk about his collaboration with Marc Jacobs and his latest book (see The FiFi Report 262). Apparently, he got quietly banned from VogueMen by picturing a gay couple in one of his Marc Jacobs ads and, as we all know, gays have no place in fashion, says Pipeline. Ha!
- The Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris was to open an exhibition exploring the “Kate Moss myth and its creation by some of the greatest photographers of the last twenty years” in November. But embarrassingly it has been delayed until 2011 owing to lack of funds. Show me the money!
- Olivier Theyskens, has a book in the works: Assouline will publish “Olivier Theyskens: The Other Side of the Picture” in January. Can’t wait.
- Is there a movie in the works for Rodarte designers? William Morris Endeavor Entertainment has signed them on.
