Lady Annabel Goldsmith, Jemima Khan’s mother and the wife of the late James Goldsmith has written her memoir and it sounds fascinating and a totally enthralling story of sex, infidelities, drama and glamour. Just we what we want to hear! It follows her life as the daughter of the 8th Marquess of Londonderry, her aristocratic upbringing with an increasingly eccentric father and then her marriage at 20 to Mark Birley who created and named the famous Annabel’s Club in Berkeley Square after her (it’s has just been revamped), She then had an affair and married entrepreneur Sir James Goldsmith who famously said she had created a job opportunity when she married him: mistress and he immediately found one…and wait there’s more: She had 6 children, sadly one of who died in Africa, she was in the plane that nearly crashed in Kenya and she claims she rarely wore undies..Yes an unconventional life.
