Too many jump to the conclusion that Julie was an intrepid spy with the OSS. In fact she was a civilian employed by the spy agency to “push paper” which she was darn good at. The OSS station in Ceylon received scads of valuable information totally unorganized. Julie’s task was to organize, catelogue, amd file the information in order to make it redily availble to where it was need. It seems to me that the author and publisher used Julie as a plus in the maketing of the book where she was but a bit player.
