“Julia smelt vaguely of sweat, which I thought was very sexy. There is a male quality to the female superstar. There has to be. If a girl is going to survive in Hollywood she has to become a kind of she-man, a beautiful woman with invisible balls.” Rupert Everett on Julia Roberts.
“Money! Money, mothaf—a!” Juicy Couture when asked what their new perfume Couture smells like. Julia Roberts wears it.
“The difference is, one of us is straight and one is gay. The straight one gets to walk down a red carpet with a beautiful girl and everything works out and the gay one has to back-pedal and do independent movies.” Ruperett Everett blames his bad acting on being gay. And invisible balls.
“My girlfriend peed on it – apparently you’re supposed to pee on it. ” Orlando Bloom, on how Kate Bosworth tried to “help” his injured foot when he accidentally stepped on a sea urchin. No balls.
“I’m kind of jealous of the life I’m supposedly leading.” Zach Braff, on reports that he’s a ladies man.
“I stood in front of [the doctor] looked him in the eyes, and I said ‘Is it anorexia?’ And he said ‘It isn’t anorexia,’ Just to give an example of how crazy everything has become, I always know when Nicole is on her way home because she is always followed by a helicopter and seven cars. It’s harassment.” Lionel Ritchie on Nicole Ritchie
“I don’t know much about anorexia, but I know if your legs look like that you’re either anorexic or a giraffe. And last I checked nobody follows around a giraffe in “a helicopter and seven cars.” Unless maybe it knocked over a bank and had a cool nickname like Giraffey McCool” Thesuperficial
“this is my future. To see how someone as caring and good as Tom is – to see how things can just get so twisted and turned around. I mean, where does it come from?” Katie Holmes (Um… because he is Cruizazy?).
“You know what, it was nothing,I’d been shooting my music video for my new song, ‘Nothing in this World.’ Paris Hilton on being arrested. It was nothing. She Man. She just smells of money.

Portmans Thin Cream Belt

The trouble with shopping when it’s raining is that the stores are too busy and noisy. My solution to shopping in peace? Run into a store yelling out “oh my god there’s a dag”! Then watch as people flee, recoil in horror and run away in droves. Perfect. Now you can have the shop all to yourself for hours. Which will give you a quiet time to try on a chic little thin pleather belt in cream from Portmans. A must buy it looks very Marni (next season) and will brighten up all the navy and black I know you are wearing. Plus it works cinched around the waist or on the hips. Perfect.
NB: this tactic also works in groovy restaurants too.

$19 Thin Cream Belt from Portmans.

Rodial Stretch Mark Eraser

Summer is coming soon. Time to reveal parts of the body that may not have seen daylight for months. Apparently this works it’s the Rodial Stretch Mark Eraser. It’s “clinically proven to dramatically reduce the appearance of stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles by strengthening the dermal layer with collagen and elastin. And it helps even out skin discolouration and age spots and removes redness and fades scarring” Plus they say sun-damaged and mature skin regains its youthful glow, firmness and tone. I say it’s better than going under the knife. Or praying. Hint: You can also use it on the price when you find the credit card statement.

Queen of Fashion: What Marie Antoinette Wore to the Revolution (Hardcover)
by Caroline Weber
“Queen of Fashion is a marvelous read. Fascinating in its rich detail yet also deeply moving, no other book about the tragic Marie Antoinette so captures her fatal flair for fashion. Caroline Weber not only combines fresh insights with new material, she also has a dazzling style of writing that most authors would kill for” Amanda Foreman, author of Georgiana. “Caroline Weber’s historical imagination and zest for fashion make for a sparkling take on the tragic, trendy Queen. Scholarly and entertaining — a brilliant, wholly original book.”—Kennedy Fraser, author of The Power of Style

Soy Glazed Salmon with Green Salad from Good Weekend
Here is my favourite new recipe, absolutely delicious and perfect for getting into shape for summer. Plus it’s easy so don’t be afraid of all the ingredients. Please. All you do is cut up the salmon, brush it with the hoisin and the soy. Cook it and then throw it over the salad tossed with the wasabi sauce. Fabulous

You need for 4 people or 8 models:
3 to 4 salmon fillets with out skin
1 tabs sweet soy (Kecap Manis)
1 tabs Hoisin sauce

Green Salad:
Bunch of Tatsoi leaves if you can or just green leaves.
2 celery stalks
10 snow peas
100g bean sprouts
4 green onions sliced
1 tabs of ginger pickled or not
bunch asparagus
1 avocado sliced
4 tabs chopped coriander leaves

Soy dressing:
2 teasp wasabi powder
1 tabs water
3 tabs Japanese dark soy
2 tab Chinese black vinegar
1 tab lime juice
2 teasp fish sauce
2 teasp caster sugar
black pepper
½ teasp sesame oil to taste
3 tabs sunflower oil

·This takes a lot of chopping so pour a glass of wine right now.
·Sit down throw off the Manolos and get comfortable
·Now make dressing: mix the wasabi with the water to make a paste. It looks like a facemask but don’t be tempted. Please.
·Add it to a bowl with the rest of the ingredients and whisk .Dip and taste.mmm
·Make the salad. If you don’t have all the ingredients just use whatever is in the fridge like a lettuce leaf .Models do.
·To cook salmon: cut it into large 5 cm chunks as big as a Jimmy Choo buckle
·Combine the hoisin and the Kecap Manis and brush the fish with it. Think of it as a glossy treatment so go to town and use a lot.
·Moisterise a baking tray with some oil, and throw on the salmon.
·Toss in the oven or under a grill for about 3 to 5 minutes. Don’ t over cook it. It should be rosy in the center like the blush on your face.
·Let the fish cool slightly and have a rest. Been working hard
·Toss the salad with the wasabi dressing
·Sprinkle and flake the salmon ever so gently through it
·Serve. Taste the piquant wasabi contrasting with the soy and hoisin.
·So delicious. So slimming. So good for you.
·Be happy as you think of your new Eres bikini and your holiday with George Clooney on Tahiti.

Friends with Money…written and directed by Nicole Holofcener. (she made Lovely and Amazing)
Genre: Comedy Drama Romance
Cast: Jennifer Aniston, Frances McDormand, Joan Cusack, Catherine Keener
The Plot: LA 2005: 3 Couples. 1.Rich wife at home with kids. Husband loves her money. 2.Unhappy couple work from home. Renovate house. Break up. Of course. 3. Successful dress designer married to a very fluffy –maybe-he–is-gay-and-doesn’t-know-it husband. He loves her. As well as cooking and cashmere sweaters. She is a grumpy guts. Yells at every one. Then there is the single friend. She works as a maid. Smokes pot. Has no money. Steals expensive moisturizers. Will she meet a nice guy? Of course she will. She is Jennifer Aniston . The end.
Acting: Excellent
Photography: Didn’t notice. This can be a good thing.
Set design: It’s contemporary affluent LA. That is not to say they have any taste. I did spy a delicious chair and one chic apartment.
Wardrobe: I see gorgeous knit sweaters, simple T -shirts and jeans, hoodies but nothing too fashion.
Salon de Beaute: Jennifer Aniston looked pretty plain and had bad hair. It’s true. In fact they all had bad hair. Especially Frances McDormand who refuses to wash it.
Botox: Could this be the first movie shot in LA that doesn’t feature Botox? Of course not. Jennifer Aniston has it and Joan Cusack should.
Waterproof mascara: An amusing film: one application should make it through the laughter.
Smokin’ Smooches: One scene. Jennifer Aniston lies back looking bored in a French Maid outfit. Her boyfriend obviously isn’t.
Car chases: it’s a chick flick
Blood’n’guts: It’s a chick flick
Rename it: Sex and the City Gets Old in LA directed by Woody Allen.
Best review: “For a movie rich in hilarity, heartbreak and a sense of life in all its vibrant, messy sprawl, watch Friends With Money. It touches a nerve. “ Rolling Stone
Best Worst review: “ It takes awhile to get going. A long while. Too long of a while” WaffleMovies.com
