Mmm if that isn’t impressive enough I not only go in there I go all the way to the back and find fab cute funny slogan T shirts they say things like “ Barbie is a slut” “I want to be Barbie that bitch gets everything” or “weapons of mass distraction” and “talk to the hand” $18

Bally have some new things in that are well priced, like a French navy cotton top $195 it’s divine and the new red and cream stripe strap bags.
Prada have the winter collection and the Prada Sport is pretty good prices from #350 for a top $400 a skirt and $430 for a nylon tote/messenger which is incredibly light (perfect for traveling)
Diesel have done the chicest white pea coat in cotton with a frayed edge $350 and a divine leather jacket for $1200

The shoe lounge in Chaddie Chase (it’s as far as Paris and probably the same prices) Has a new lot of Marc Jacobs in flats and heels pumps $799 in great colors and some cool loafers

Green Coriander Chutney

This is from Nigella’s column In UK Vogue and it’s not really chutney and let’s face it what other colour is coriander. red? But this is like an Indian pesto! Easy peasy and so what if creamed coconut* is the most fattening thing on the planet! Look at Nigella she’s um slim … well anyway you can put in coconut lite instead but it makes it quite runny and it should be solid ish ( like your hips will be after)
Live a little it’s delicious!!

½ long big green chilli or more if you like it hot to trot but not too much or you might (trot)
2.5cm piece ginger peeled and grated or chopped
4 garlic gloves squished
75g of creamed coconut or 1/3 can of coconut cream
Large bunch of coriander and make sure its green!
4 stems of mint leaves
1/2tsp salt
pinch of caster sugar
juice of 2 limes or more to taste

Cut the chillis up about the size of a diamond you can afford (No you are not Elizabeth Taylor!)
Whack the chillis ginger garlic and creamed coconut in the whizzer and blitz to a paste
Add the coriander and mint and go for it again
Add salt and pinch and sugar
Add the lime juice
Taste it and laugh and smile mmm yum oh!

Serve it raw as is with swordfish steaks; Grill the steaks and then dob a bit on the top I’m sure you can serve it with any fish or chicken
Keeps in the fridge for up to month in a jar

* creamed coconut is like butter thick and comes in a block rather than runny like cream so it’s better to use it

American Splendour
So the blood drained straight to my manolos when I heard in the first 5 minutes this is not a romantic comedy. Jesus how did I get here? But I hung in there and what a movie! What a kooky fantooky crazex movex. You aint seen nothing like it! About a guy Harvey Pekar who wrote a magazine called American splendor and it’s about his life. He’s a bit done in, sees the glass half empty and then he drinks it mmm…empty! But it is funny, poignant, cool. His friend has got to be seen to be believed! I think it was an inspiring story but I’m not sure…(for chicks and blokes)

Aust Harpers Bazaar. Can’t resist the Elle interview in Harpers. It’s hilarious! She is a parody of the parody and if it was on ab fab you’d cry laughing! It seems she’s attributes her genetic lottery to her diet. Well I’ve been eating like that for years and I don’t look like Elle (no like Gwyneth!)

The New Yorker style issue has amazing shots by Karl Lagerfeld of Karine Roitfeld as the Contessa Casati and a fascinating article about Galliano shot by Avedon
