“All the women love the ass of the man. If you ask some girl which part they love when they make sex with the man, they say the ass. Eighty per cent. So we work a lot with the trouser to make a beautiful ass for men.” Domenico Dolce (Did you read that marc? start wearing D&G).

Pantene Intensive Treatment Daily Moisture Renewal

Whether it’s renewing our batteries after weeks of shopping or simply renewing our black Amex after it’s collapsed (resuscitation actually) we all need a bit of renewal one way or the other. So it makes sense that our hair needs to get a bit of renewal too. All that blow drying and smoke damage from Diptyque candles can take its toll. Time to get out the Pantene intensive treatment daily moisture renewal. They say it helps to undo the look of hair damaged by colouring, sun, and heat styling. And it does make a difference I must say, my hair does seem a lot more softer and silkier. Just don’t use too much it can weigh it down. Now if only I could get it off my Amex.

$10 Pantene intensive treatment daily moisture renewal from K Mart and department stores.

This is a great idea. Bookcrossing is ‘the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. Our members love books enough to let them go—into the wild—to be found by others. Here’s how it works:.
· Read a good book (you already know how to do that)
· Register it (along with your journal comments), get a unique BCID (BookCrossing ID number), and label the book
· Release it for someone else to read (give it to a friend, leave it on a park bench, donate it to charity, “forget” it in a coffee shop, etc.), and get notified by email each time someone comes here and records journal entries for that book. And if you make Release Notes on the book, others can Go Hunting for it and try to find it! In Australia there are 1635 books out there. Start looking.

What Remains : A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love by. Carole Radziwill
Will we ever get sick of reading about the Kennedy family? Never. This is the latest one from Carole Radziwill who was married to the late son of Jackie’s sister Lee. ‘What Remains is a vivid and haunting memoir about a girl from a working-class town who becomes an award-winning television producer and marries a prince, Anthony Radziwill, Part fairy tale, part tragedy, she tells the story with great candor and wit. It begins with loss and returns to loss. A small plane plunges into the ocean, carrying John Kennedy, Anthony’s cousin, and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Carole’s closest friend. Three weeks later Anthony dies of cancer. Carole Radziwill has an anthropologist’s sensibility and a journalist’s eye. She writes with remarkable acuity and humanity and this is a compelling story of love, loss, and, ultimately, resilience. Sad but intriguing.

Middle Eastern Orange and Almond Cake,

Middle Eastern Orange and Almond Cake, Stephanie Alexander ( from Claudia Roden)

You must know this cake it’s been in every café you’ve ever been to. And you can see why. Moist and slightly bittersweet it’s delicious. Plus orange is the big color this summer so you this is a must-have dessert of the season, even if you just look at it. (And the lovely smell of oranges wafting through the house has no calories what so ever..)

2 large oranges
6 eggs
250g whole almonds ( buy them and then whiz them please)
250 g sugar
1 tsp baking powder

·Wash and boil oranges (unpeeled) in a little water for 2 hours. Just throw them in whole and let them boil away, don’t cover them with water but just keep topping it up so it doesn’t boil dry.
·Preheat oven to 190.
·Moisterise a cake tin
·Do nails, smell those oranges, read Vanity Fair.
·After 2 hours and your nails have dried, let the oranges to cool, then cut them open and remove pips.
·Throw the whole almonds in the whizzer and give them a good grinding so they are finely ground. Hint: a few chunks are good. Gives the cake a slightly crunchy texture.
·Take the almonds out and then throw the oranges in the whizzer and pulp them big time.
·Toss them into a bowl with the almonds, then throw in the eggs (beaten) , the sugar and the baking powder. Give it a good mix.
·Pour in all into the cake tin, preferably one with a removable base
·Bake at 190 C or about an hour, or a little longer if still very wet. It’s like any makeup; you’ll find that moist and glossy is good
·Sprinkle with icing sugar when it’s hot so it melts a bit, then sprinkle again before serving.
·Sensational.
Serve with Nigella’s Turkish delight cream (which will be in next week’s FiFi Report )

Millions …Directed by Danny Boyle ( Trainspotting) Rated PG (profanity, children in peril, mild sensuality)
The Plot: A fantastical story of a little British boy and the large sack of cash that literally drops onto him from the sky. He is then visited by ghosts of famous saints. Nuf said.
Who: James Nesbitt, Lewis McGibbon. Alex Etel. who?
Acting: mmm debatable. The youngest brother is fantastic. The rest of the cast is pretty bad.
Photography:It’s like a bad imitation of a John Irving movie, a bit of fantasy but it’s cringe worthy. Yawn
Interiors: Not worth mentioning
Blood’n’ guts: only in the trailers beforehand.
Car chases: I was wishing we had one to make it interesting.
Smooches: I was wishing we had one to make it interesting.
Waterproof mascara? I wish I had some to make it interesting
Tom Cruise sighting. If only.
When Harry met Sally romance Richter scale: Ditto
Best review: “Precocious children discussing morality with saints aren’t nearly as much fun as Ewan McGregor being nailed to the floor with a butcher knife.” FREEZE DRIED MOVIES.
“Boyle confuses whimsy with gas.” CHARLOTTE OBSERVER
“Give Boyce and Boyle credit for daring to be strange, but this enchilada is so overstuffed, it’s falling apart” New York Post.
Rename it: moneyspotting or The Saint.
See it or donate to the Prada bag/save Katie fund? Who cares if it’s made for children, this movie is boring. It seemed to get better when I started to think about Prada bags. Now that was fun. Choose life (and shopping)
