“I was much happier in previous existences when I wrote plays, composed music, conquered nations, discovered continents and developed cures for diseases. I only took my present form because Bingodulla, whom all Scientologists worship as the Supreme Thetan, selected me to spread the gospel of Scientology to the glib, uninformed masses” Tom Cruise is cruisazy .
“She was the mistress of Sigmund Freud, you know. Is it any wonder she promotes his discredited theories? She’s so confused” Tom Cruise on Brooke Sheilds. Confused? Not the only one?
“This interview is a total fabrication. Tom did not say those things, it’s a hoax” Tom Cruise rep (Damn, that was funny)
“I’m obsessed with her I just saw an interview with her where she said her favorite word was ‘raw,’ and I was so excited because it’s my favorite word, too.” Lindsay Lohan on Angelina Jolie. so raw , so stupid.
“I think she’s one of those rare people who gives back as much as she does not because of the press or because of any kind of attention she gets, but because it makes her feel better, Lindsay Lohan on Angelina (So admirable: giving back so SHE feels great about herself).
“I worried so much about what I wore tonight, and of course it didn’t matter at all.” Meryl Streep at a function with Angelina Jolie.
‘When you believe in yourself, it is unapologetic. Make it real and live your life out loud. To some, this is unforgivable. If so — I say be unforgivable.’” Diddy on his debut men’s fragrance Unforgivable.(Unforgivable) .
“One of the main reasons I picked it is because I am unapologetic in who I am, what I represent. You can’t forgive someone that’s not apologizing for what they stand for, so it represents strength.” What??! P.Diddy is unforgivable in his English grammar.
“ I haven’t done anything as of yet just for the money.” P. Diddy (except lie)
“ When the John Howard calls the White House the President listens” John Forbes( Dubya Bush is too dumb to actually say anything ).
“I have no opinion, Iraq is a political matter. The work I do at the U.N. is humanitarian. “ Lauren Bush on the Iraq war. So the Bushes see the war in Iraq as a political matter and not a “humanitarian” effort, ….but who’s really paying attention? The more important question is … “How are Maddox and Zahara getting along?” wwd ( unforgiveable).

Jimmy Choo python boots

It’s the 100th FiFi Report so why not celebrate? It’s time for something outrageous, divine and totally luxurious. And since George Clooney is out of town I’m going to be seduced by another man; Jimmy Choo. You see I fell in love with the very tall, metallic blue python Jimmy Choo boots in Evelyn Miles. Heaven sent and sexy as hell, they are the ultimate accessory du jour. What a pity there are only 4 in Australia and they are $1800. Sorry.

“Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace” This is the lovely message that greets me when I open my new Stila eye and cheek palette. Tucked inside a tiny, chic metallic tweed purse (with its own little mirror) you’ll find all you need to get through the day: Sage and brown eye shadow and a soft apricot cheek blush. Divine. Now if only I can find the courage to pay off that black Amex and find ever lasting peace….

A Dash of Daring: Carmel Snow and Her Life In Fashion, Art, and Letters by Penelope Rowlands
This was profiled in the September issue of US Vogue and it’s a fascinating biography of the famous fashion editor Carmel Snow. So who cares if it’s not available till November put it on the must buy list! Carmel Snow (if you are not a fashionista) was the editor of US Vogue in the 1920’s and left to go to Harpers Bazaar in 1933 to start what was to become an amazing and very creative era in fashion. A fascinating story she was a very independent thinker and had a baby when she was 39 which was unheard of in those days, and of course she was the editor who gave Diana Vreeland her first job. The rest is history. Must buy.

The Christmas List:
Blahnik by Boman: Shoes, Photographs, Conversation by Eric Boman
Long before their supporting role in Sex and the City, Manolo Blahnik’s shoes were legendary. The epitome of sophistication and taste, they have graced the feet of royalty, supermodels, and movie stars. In these breathtaking pictures by Blahnik’s longtime friend, photographer Eric Boman, the shoes take center stage: A white leather stiletto plays an incriminating role in a suggested crime worthy of Hitchcock. A pale green mule nestles among ferns in homage to Blahnik’s recurring botanical themes. The straps of a sandal echo the strands of spaghetti in which it lays entwined. As covetable as a pair of Manolos, this is a book of consummate creativity, addictive power, and unrivaled individuality: a cult object on a cult designer. Buy the book if you can’t buy the shoes…

Eats Turkish delight Syllabub from Nigella Bites.
Delicious as a dessert on its own or fabulous drizzled on the middle eastern orange cake (from last week) this is very indulgent ( as life should be). A wonderful mix of rosewater, orange and cream. Sensational. When you taste this you will never look back (except to see if your bottom got just went up a size )
This makes enough for about 8 little Turkish tea glasses.

You need:
12 tabs / 175 mil of Cointreau
just under 600ml double cream.
Juice of 2 lemons
125g of caster sugar
2 tabs rosewater
2 tabs of orange water
2 tabs pistacchios for sprinkling

· Combine lemon juice, Cointreau, and sugar in a kitchen aid or a bowl and dissolve sugar.
· Slowly stir in cream.
·Now start beating it. It will takes hours to do by hand or with electric beaters. But be patient. Put on the latest Mariah Carey, sorry, Coldplay and think of it as meditation. It may take up to 15 minutes. If you get bored and can’t be bothered and it doesn’t thicken , just leave it as is.
· Dribble in the rose and orange water and whisk or beat again till its thick and there are soft peaks (yes, another 10 mins or so..)
· Yes, you may taste it . You may faint with delight at this taste sensation
· Pour into the Turkish tea glasses or just in a pot to drizzle over any cake,
Scatter with pistachios and then be prepared. You will over whelmed with fans all screaming ‘ this is amazing’. And you know what? It is.

Wedding Crashers directed by David Dobkin
The Plot: 2 outrageous party boy bachelors spend every weekend gate crashing weddings to pick up chicks.
Who: Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Christopher Walken, Jane Seymour and Aussie actress Isla Fischer.
Acting: Owen Wilson plays himself; so cute, Vince Vaughn plays himself ; funny and Christopher Walken plays himself; kooky.
Photography: it happened; it just wasn’t artistic..
Interiors: it happened, just not artistic. NB: The sailing boat is divine.
Salon de Beaute: Owen Wilson’s hair is fascinating. Blonde tips, perm and over styled. It doesn’t move. His makeup stopped at his neck. Still cute though.
Wardrobe: Lots of pastels, very Ralph Lauren. (and lots of shocking wedding Meringue dresses).
Table manners: Why can’t they teach actors to behave as well as the aristocrats they are playing. What’s with all knives and forks waving in the air like they are conducting a symphony?
Blood’n’ guts: There is no blood but Owen Wilson gets his guts punched in a few times, ouch! (keeps the testosterone in the audience happy) .
Car chases: There are girl chases instead
Smooches: Oh! Yes, baby, yes!
Smokin’ Smooches: oh! Yes, baby, yes!
Waterproof mascara? Oh! Yes, baby yes, you’ll be laughing .
Tom Cruise/Alien sighting. No, but there is a kooky, homo brother (which is nearly the same) .
When Harry met Sally romance Richter scale: gets a whopping 7/10.
Rename it: The Notebook does Zoolander
See it or donate to the Prada bag/save Katie fund? Please go to this movie, have a huge laugh and then get some hot tips to use when you gate crash Tom and Katie’s big day.
