Quite often when I’m shopping I’ll cross myself handing over my credit card: I like to pray the sale will go through and that they won’t cut up my credit card (it can be so embarrassing in public). So I was really praying when I saw the fabulous Kelly Klein book Cross in Borders. But I didn’t have to worry: This divine book is on sale for a fabulous $19. “Photographer Klein’s eye for the fetching image is good and intelligent. The photographs in this thematic album, most of them printed to fill an entire 10-by-12-inch page or two, seem selected for beauty’s sake and to emphasize the cross as both form and religious symbol.” Bless.
$19 Kelly Klein Cross from Borders.

George Clooney has a new girlfriend: it’s time to buy some new shoes. And I am so in love with the Miu Miu blue brocade flats I spied in Evelyn Miles. In gold and blue brocade fabric with an open toe they are glamourous without being too flashy and because they are flat (or almost flat) with a sling back you can wear them all day and never need that extra shot botox. They look sensational with jeans, fabulous with shorts, divine with a little sundress. In fact they are the accessory du jour and will add vava voom to everything. Let’s face it George was only good as a handbag.

Sorry to break the news but it’s time to bring out parts of the body that have not been seen in public for 6 months. I’m talking arms and legs. They need to be tanned, toned and a hairless to be revealed. Which counts me out. Until of course I have applied the sensational Megan Gale Jet Set Tan. This is a spray on fake tan that is a great natural colour, it doesn’t have any dyes so it won’t mark your Gucci plus it works after about 3 hours. Tip: Spray it on but then work it in with your hands or it will go streaky. Be aware it does not contain SPF. And I love this great hint on the adore beauty site Do not spray in mouth or eyes…. Damn white eyes again this summer….
$34.50 Megan Gale Jet Set Tan from Adore Beauty.

Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Hedi Slimane and John Galliano were among the glitterati who watched Saturday as Delphine Arnault said oui to Alessandro Gancia in an hour-long mass at the Cathedral Saint-Jean Baptiste in the French town of Bazas. Galliano, of course, dressed the blonde bride in a Christian Dior couture confection, while the groom wore Dior Homme by Slimane. The 700 guests then repaired to the celebrated Chateau d’Yquem, where LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton boss Bernard Arnault hosted a sit-down feast of foie gras and caviar, washed down by vintage 1975 Yquem, the year of Delphine’s birth.

How to Walk in High Heels by Camilla Morton, Natasha Law
“WANT to know what’s going to entertain everybody in the front rows at London Fashion Week? It’s the new book by Camilla Morton, How to Walk in High Heels – The Girl’s Guide to Everything. With a foreword by John Galliano (whom Morton refers to as “the husband”), and brilliant illustrations by Natasha Law, it’s an encyclopaedic catalogue of how to live life to the full. From playing poker to climbing out of a car in a mini skirt, tackling lobster in a restaurant or changing a tyre, it’s the most fabulous instruction manual the world has ever seen, all told in Camilla’s inimitable straight-talking, hilariously funny style. And if she didn’t know quite how to do something, she called upon her most stylish friends to contribute: Gisele Bundchen explains how to look good in a photo, Manolo Blahnik reveals how to buy the perfect shoe.” A must buy!
