In gold and blue brocade fabric with an open toe they are glamourous without being too flashy and because they are flat (or almost flat) with a sling back you can wear them all day and never need that extra shot botox. They look sensational with jeans, fabulous with shorts, divine with a little sundress. In fact they are the accessory du jour and will add vava voom to everything. Sorry to break the news but it’s time to bring out parts of the body that have not been seen in public for 6 months. I’m talking arms and legs. They need to be tanned, toned and a hairless to be revealed. Which counts me out. Until of course I have applied the sensational Megan Gale Jet Set Tan. This is a spray on fake tan that is a great natural colour, it doesn’t have any dyes so it won’t mark your Gucci plus it works after about 3 hours. Tomato and cheese tart from the Frenchwomans Cook Book
perfect for picnics, divine for a sunday Brunch this is inspired by next season: simple, chic and classic: Fat Alert: this is french, there is cream…

3 or 4 sheets of Frozen pastry
3 tabs of thick crème fraiche
2 tabs of Dijon mustard
About 8 tomatoes
About 8 slices of gruyere cheese
Sprinkling of thyme or basil

·Preheat oven 220
·Moisturise a pastry tart tin with lashings of butter
·Chop up the cheese and finely cut the tomatoes into thin little chic slices
·Line the tart tin with the pastry,
·Mix the mustard with the cream and spread it over the base of the pastry shell
·Top with the tomatoes slices, and then the cheese slices.
·Sprinkle over with lots of basil or thyme
·Give a good sprinkling of salt and pepper
·Whack in the oven and cook for about 25 mins at 220 or until it looks lovely and juicy and melted.
·Oh, go on have a drink who cares if its only 11 am?
·Accessorise with few more herbs before serving with a green salad and crusty bread
